BTS Quality Standard for pulmonary rehabilitation in adults

In September 2023, the British Thoracic Society (BTS) published a Clinical Statement on Pulmonary Rehabilitation, which provides an overview of best practice in relation to the delivery of pulmonary rehabilitation. Building on this, BTS has commissioned a Quality Standard in this topic area for 2024.

BTS Quality Standards set out a number of concise and measurable quality statements, derived from the best available evidence that, when implemented, will help improve the quality of care across a clinical pathway or disease area.  

The chairs and members of the group to develop this, are currently being recruited, with a view to commencing this work in March 2024.
