Warning about online adverts claiming to be endorsed by the British Thoracic Society 

We are aware of several online adverts offering products and supplements purporting to treat a range of respiratory conditions and claiming to have been endorsed by the British Thoracic Society. 

The British Thoracic Society does not, under any circumstances, endorse any drugs, supplements or other products for the treatment or cure of lung disease. Nor do we permit the BTS or Respiratory Futures logos to appear on any individual products or treatments. 

If you see any online adverts offering products of this nature, please assume they may not deliver the promised results and/or are fraudulent, and if possible, copy the link to the advert and report it to the Advertising Standards Agency  

Patients should always speak to a doctor about any medical products or supplements, especially if they are only advertised online.
