BTS Honorary Secretary 2022

Professor Andres Floto

BTS is pleased to welcome Professor Andres Floto to the BTS Board as the new Honorary Secretary.

Professor Floto has contributed to BTS for many years, as Co-Chair of the Nontuberculous mycobacteria Management guidelines committee, as a member of the Science and Research Committee, and as member of the infection and Cystic Fibrosis Specialist Advisory Group.

Professor Floto has championed and led a range of research and initiatives to improve respiratory health. For example, he has delivered national programmes of respiratory research for patient benefit through establishing and leading the UK CF Innovation Hub, co-directing the Cambridge Centre for AI in Medicine and co-leading the NIHR Bioresources Cystic Fibrosis genomics programme and acting as Respiratory sub-domain lead for GEL 100K reanalysis using multi-omic integration.
