The Education and Training Committee is responsible for:
- developing the programme for the Society's Summer Meetings;

Alison had this to say about her time as Chair of the Education and Training Committee:
'I was delighted to be the first non-medical member to be successfully appointed as chair of any of the BTS standing committees. I am hoping that this sets an example to other nurses, allied health professionals, healthcare scientists and all members of the respiratory team who are passionate about education and may be interested in a role within BTS.
We work hard as a committee to ensure that our educational outputs are inclusive and relevant as this will always strengthen the value of our work. Chairing ETC has allowed me to see more closely how education and training works for my colleagues across the multi-professional team. For example, attending SAC meetings and engaging more with the curriculum for trainees was a steep learning curve at the start, but one that has been really beneficial both for me personally and for the committee.
My experience as ETC Chair has been so positive – you get to work with brilliant colleagues on the Committee, on the Board, and the various SAGs. Please do consider applying for this role, and if you would like to talk to me, please get in touch with BTS.'
