Winter Meeting 2024

The Winter Meeting 2024 took place from 27 to 29 November, 2024. 

The Winter Meeting 2025 will take place from 26-28 November 2025, at the QEII London.

The Full Programme was published as a supplement to the November issue of Thorax is now available as a flipbook and full Thorax programme PDF.

Published abstracts can also be viewed online.

Attendance certificates have now been sent via email to all delegates who attended onsite.

Delegates will be informed when recordings are available to view.

We have been able to make the BTS/NICE/SIGN Joint Asthma Guideline recording available for all to watch.

The British Thoracic Society gratefully acknowledges sponsorship of all companies who purchase an exhibition stand at the Summer and Winter Meetings. None of them have any input into the programme content or the planning of the conference. Furthermore, the Society does not allow any sponsored symposia at this event, within the programme, or associated in any way with it. 

BTS Conference Grants: BTS is grateful to GSK and AstraZeneca for providing grants to part-fund this initiative. AstraZeneca and GSK have provided financial sponsorship towards this independent programme and neither organisation has had involvement in its creation or organisation. Neither organisation is involved in in the selection process. Applicants selected to receive a conference grant, have now been notified.

*The Non-BTS members' concessionary rate is available to non-BTS members who are a member of BALR, ARNS, ACPRC, ARTP, or BPRS nurse and AHP members, or are medical students or registered research students.

To take advantage of the concessionary rate, please email us proof of your eligibility. This can include scans/images of the following:

  • A receipt of last paid membership of any organisation listed above including the membership period paid for or valid membership card.
  • A valid student ID card or a letter from your University confirming your placement including dates of enrolment.

Please send proof via email to bookings@brit-thoracic.org.uk. BTS is not able to give the concessionary rate if proof is not provided.

Groups of five or fewer are not eligible for group booking rates but would be subject to the individual delegate rates. Open Meetings of the BTS Specialist Advisory Groups
Open meetings of the BTS Specialist Advisory Groups (SAGs) will take place during the Winter Meeting. All participants are welcome to attend and hear more about the work of the SAGs and be involved in planning symposia for future Summer and Winter Meeting programmes. Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis provide funding for UK based students, early career researchers and healthcare professionals to present their research on pulmonary fibrosis at conferences. These grants can provide financial support for travel, accommodation, and registration fees up to £500 for UK conferences. Applications for these funding grants are now open.
