Created jointly between the British Thoracic Society and Property Care Association, this webinar examined the research which demonstrates the main health impacts of living with damp and mould.
BTS Sustainability lead, Dr Laura-Jane Smith, Consultant Respiratory Physician at King’s College Hospital, highlights the evidence of harm seen by GPs and thoracic consultants, how health impacts could be treated, and the questions to ask patients presenting with specific symptoms which could indicate an environmental problem.
James Berry, Deputy CEO at the PCA, outlines the UK regulation that exists and what this means for social and private tenants. He focuses on what should be done if damp or mould is present in a home, when to raise concerns and who to contact for further advice.
