Better lung health for all
Education and Events

Respiratory Physiology

We have designed this course to provide delegates with a programme on what you need to know about basic and advanced lung physiology central to everyday clinical practice.

The topics covered include: Basics of airways physiology; Spirometry, Blood Gases, Gas transfer; static lung volumes and their interpretation. There will also be the opportunity for some hands-on practical experience. Delegates will leave the course with a detailed knowledge base and, importantly, a strong idea about how to apply the knowledge they have gained.

The course is targeted at specialist trainees but would also be suitable for AHPs, Nurses, Respiratory Physicians, those on the Practitioner / Scientist Training programmes, physiologists in practice or those just starting their career in clinical physiology and those preparing for the SCE.

A second, more advanced course, hosted by ARTP will be held on the following day. See more below or visit the ARTP website to discover more.
